Effective Treatments for Blackheads

By Jenny Alfred at 2010-11-16 04:48:16
Blackheads are primarily caused by congested sebum in our skin pores. The sebum that are exposed are primarily bonded or glued by a mixture of lymph fluids and blood. The exposed and glued sebum would be oxidized and would, therefore, blacken. Thus, the term blackheads.

Generally speaking, blackheads are a condition occurring basically in all generations, genders and ethnicities. It does not discriminate any section of people over another. Blackheads will usually occur when the skin's natural oil is collected and starts to harden in the skin's pores. The toxins being expelled through the skin through the blood and lymph fluids together with the sebum give rise to some sort of glue.

Exfoliating is one of the remedies for blackheads: Just make use of a mild exfoliator that is mixed with a low benzoyl peroxide. The exfoliate will clear out any lifeless skin and expose the blackhead just as the low strength benzoyl peroxide will facilitate to break up and wipe out the blackheads from the skin.

Skintactix Blackhead Dissolver -This dissolves the blackheads in about 3 weeks and it made from natural plant extracts. It contains plant extracts which reduce the excessive cellular production and helps to keep follicles open. Some of the plant extracts contained in this product are also used in the treatment of eczema, dandruff and other conditions of excessive cellular proliferation.

Honey is one very beneficial skin treatment product that many people swear by as a blackhead treatment product that can be consumed (obviously -and beneficially) and also applied using warm hone applied to the affected areas and washed off with cold water after at least 10 minutes.

Acne surgery is a special treatment that may be used by your dermatologist to remove your blackheads. To extract blackheads, dermatologist uses a sterile pen-sized device. It is better to wear as little cosmetics as possible. Choose oil-free, water-based, moisturizers and make-up. Use non comedogenic products, because they should not cause blackheads. Do not forget to remove your cosmetics every night with mild soap or gentle cleanser and water.

Pore strips can be a helpful blackhead treatment. They are advertised as a glue strip for the face. It works by sticking to the blackhead and then when pulled away the blackhead will be pulled up with the strip. The drawback to the pore strips is that they can aggravate your skin. Honey can be used as a homemade pore strip. It works like the sticky pore strip without all the cost. Honey is also an antibacterial.

ClearPores first deeply washes the skin to unclog the pores and get rid of bacteria and dirt on your skin. Then, it attacks the bacteria that are causing the infection. Lastly, it protects and keeps the skin free from renewed blackhead and acne attacks. Its salicylic acid and SD alcohol content that works with the above-mentioned herbs are the ones that cleanses the skin and defeats bacteria.

Blackhead treatment products work differently on each person. One may claim that a product is very effective and it cured his blackhead and acne problem but this may not have the same effect on another person. The treatments include topical products such as lotions.
